August
Popping Sue
The month of August has already reached an end. Goodbye HOT and HUMID weather. We experienced consistent 31-32 degree
Celsius weather, which felt like 45 degrees with humidity the entire
month. Although the heat was bearable
with an air-conditioned work environment, apartment and luckily public
transportation too, there was not a day that showed a sign of things cooling
down. We have similar weather in
Canada, with more fluctuations and not so many consistent days with the exact
same temperature. Starting the
first day of September, the heat relieved a little bit, it was almost like
clockwork. Now I must enjoy the
nice temperature while it lasts and before the extreme cold hits.

Things slowed down a bit for me in August after my little
trip. I stayed in town, had at
least one beach day every weekend, one public holiday spent on the beach, at
least one or two salsa classes a week, another yoga marathon and weekly
Saturday morning yoga (moved from the beach to the studio because of the
extreme heat).
The yoga marathon was very unique this time because it was
glow in the dark. Everyone wore
glow sticks. We did yoga and some
meditation dancing and some partner yoga.
It was very well put together like before. They even had a little surprise birthday game for me and
another girl. A Kleenex box
wrapped up like a present was strapped around our waist and six ping-pong balls
were placed in the box. We had to
shake and dance to try and get the ping-pong balls out of our box while
everyone else circled around us and watched and laughed.
