First of all, I would like to mention the cleanliness of the
water park. Everyone was required
to wear a hat and a lifejacket.
One the reasons I am hesitant about water parks at home is because of
all the gross hair in the change rooms and on the ground while you are waiting
in huge line-ups. I don’t think I
saw a single stray hair at this water park! We each received our own individual locker and key for the
entire day!
One of my youngest students named Bo!
I had an awesome time!
It was a chance to be outside of the classroom for a day, bond with my
students and my co-workers! Two of
my co-workers and I went around the water park and rode some rides together all
morning. One ride involved
standing-up, the controller closing the door and on the count of three, the
controller literally pressing a button and the ground beneath you opening up so
you dropped down the slide standing up.
I had a liter of water enter my body from my mouth and nose and I was
down the slide in half a second but it was totally worth it. Of course we said, “let’s do it
again!”
My co-worker Amy! I went down the slide with another co-worker Yoni!
The water park had a splash town, where I was taken by the hand
by some of my students and directed to which slide we were going down. They kept saying, “good job, good job
teacher.” I was also barely
floating when I went to the wave pool with some of the girls and I had three 9
year olds attached to every ligament they could grab. I spent some time with some of the younger boys, watching
them dangerously jump from the hot tub into the wave pool, and then distracting
them but asking them to show off their swimming skills. Finally, the three girls and I waited
in the longest line of the day (probably only a thirty minute wait), to go down
a ride with a four-person tube and had a blast!
A photo with some of the girls!

Lunch was served in a large room, cafeteria style. The water park had a stage with some
performances, the main attraction being a K-pop group of girls. We lost no kids, experienced no
injuries, crying or catastrophes.
We left on time and returned back to Busan around 6:30pm.
