There was a national holiday on October 3rd in Korea called National Foundation Day. We decided to go to the Lantern Festival in Jinju (two hour bus ride away) for the holiday. The festival was running for about two weeks and it was amazing. It was so much bigger and brighter then I expected. Since we went on a holiday, they had a lot of extra performances and surprises in store for us including fireworks at the end of the night! I shouldn't forget to mention extra crowds along with the special entertainment. Some other performances included drumming, dancing, mascots, traditional clothing and instruments, reenactments etc!
