Firework Festival and Halloween 2013!!

International Firework Festival!

Busan has an annual firework Festival every year on the last weekend of October!  It is a huge event and people from all over Korea (and maybe even the world) travel to Busan to watch the amazing fireworks. Every inch of sand is crowded with people who start claiming there stop on the sand early in the day to watch the show staring at 8 p.m.  I arrived around 2:30 p.m.  to wait for hours to watch this show which I had been told was unforgettable.

Waiting during the day.  One of the three giant screens to add to the show.

The beach starting to get crowded.

Try leaving this crowd to go to the bathroom, they stopped letting people enter the beach at a certain point so you had to wait until the end of the show.

Three amazing performers hanging from this building and doing acrobatics wearing lights!

A slightly blurry example of my view.

Waterfall of colour off of the bridge!

New apartment and Aimee's birthday!

October, 2013

We were lucky because we had national holidays two weeks in a row in October.  The last holiday this year until Christmas day.  The second one was on October 9th, which was also Aimee's birthday.  The national holiday was for Hangul day.  Hangul is the Korean language.  It was invented by the king of Korea in 1443, Sejong the Great.  He thought that the current language, a Chinese language, was too difficult and he decided to make a simpler version of the language.  He named it Hangul and it has been used ever since.

We went for a costal walk at a new park called Anman park for her birthday and went out for a birthday dinner after.

We were invited to a picnic on our walk.  It was a pleasant surprise!

After patiently waiting for what seemed like months, my director finally found a new apartment for me!  It is a lot more spacious, in a better location and great for entertaining!

Most of my stuff!  A lot more then two suitcases and a carry on now!!

Aimee was a huge help moving!  Thank you dinner
